Porto emerge to grab Omorodion from Atletico.

Portuguese giants Porto have announced the signing of young striker Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid.

Omorodion has been link with a move away throughout the summer, most notably to Premier League giants Chelsea, but the two clubs have failed to reach an agreement.

The 20-year-old Nigerian striker has now officially joined Porto in the Portuguese league on a five-year contract until 2029.

Fabrizio Romano, a famous journalist, has broken down the details of the contract, stating that Porto has agreed to pay 15 million euros for 50 percent ownership ยูฟ่าเบท of Omorodion, while Atletico Madrid still owns 50 percent.

Porto have the option to buy another 15 percent for €5m in 2025 and another 15 percent in 2026, with a €100m buyout clause included.

At 24, he is way more experienced than the Atletico youngster and has a much better track record. Last season, David scored 26 goals in 47 appearances for Lille, while Omorodion managed eight in the 35 games he played during his loan spell at Alaves.

For Samu Omorodion, he move from Granada to Atletico Madrid in 2023 and was immediately loan out to Alaves last season. Last summer, he helped Spain win a gold medal at the 2024 Olympics.
