Introvert or reserved personality and Extrovert or extravert personality are one of the theories explaining human personality by the famous German psychiatrist and psychologist Carl Gustav Jung, who first coined these two terms to describe the attitudes of individuals interacting in a society with two different poles in order to understand, learn, and be able to adapt to live together in society.

Because life is complex, understanding different types of people, or even ourselves, can make things easier to understand. In fact, even though categorizing people into types today may be seen as an oversimplification of the complex world, this type of categorization is still useful in giving us a basic understanding of the concept before we accept the complexity of the world and later change and improve the basic model.
