Deep in debt to a local thug (Jason Momoa), Miles (Drew Roy) persuades his girlfriend Lauren (Haley Webb) and brother Liam (Shane Coffey) to help fake a disappearance in the Alaskan wilderness. While the town works together to find Miles, the local sheriff (Cary Elwes) begins to suspect foul play. As he closes in on the truth, Liam struggles to conceal the hoax, and in the process exposes a secret that rocks him and Lauren to the core. Now the two are struggling to stay one step ahead of a sadistic thug and the tenacious cops before Miles is gone for good.
Hey guys! I’ve added photos of Drew from the 42nd Annual Saturn Awards which took place on June 22nd. You can check those out in our gallery now.
Screen Media Ventures has scooped rights to Sugar Mountain, an Alaska-set thriller starring Jason Momoa and Cary Elwes. The distributor plans a fourth-quarter theatrical and VOD release in North America and other territories including the UK and Australia.
The Film Mode Entertainment pic, which premiered at the Cannes Film Market, follows two debt-ridden brothers who fake their disappearance in the Alaska wilderness so they’ll have a great survival story to sell. But the hoax turns out to be more real than they planned. Anna Hutchison, Melora Walters, Drew Roy and Haley Webb co-star in the film directed by Richard Gray from Abe Pegos’ script. Gray also produced alongside Virginia Kay, Michele Gray and Jamie Houge.
“Richard is an emerging talent whose tight thriller really impressed us,” Said Seth Needle, SVP Worldwide Acquisitions for Screen Media Ventures. “Fans of the genre and Jason Momoa specifically should mark their calendar.”
Today May 16th marks Drew’s thirtieth birthday, which is a huge milestone! So in light of this fact, I would like to wish Drew a wonderful birthday. I hope it’s full of all the love and laughter you deserve. Happy Birthday, Drew!! Xo
Hey guys! I realize the site has been quiet since I re-opened last year. Life has been crazy and I haven’t found the time to catch up on screen captures from the final season of Falling Skies just yet, but I assure you that any news or photos that pop up will be posted regardless of that minor oversight. And with Drew newly married and working on his future projects, news has been pretty quiet as well these last few months. Aside from Sugar Mountain, which still has us waiting for a release date there hasn’t been much else to report on.
Hey guys! So you might have noticed the site disappeared earlier this year, which was a decision I made due to lack of time and interest. But I’m happy to say that after much consideration and thought, which also included moving web hosts. I’ve obviously decided to bring the site back online. With Falling Skies finished and the growing fanbase Drew garnered from the popularity of the show, I felt like the fans (and of course Drew) deserved to have a place to gather to keep up with his career. And of course, it didn’t hurt having figured out how to fit the site’s maintenance into my schedule, so I’m happy to have it back.
In addition to the newly redesigned site, as you have noticed, I have also replaced all the event photos (and some photoshoots) in the gallery with high-quality versions. I’ll also have captures from the final season of Falling Skies up hopefully before the end of the year if all goes well. 🙂
