Is Drew Roy not in Season 4 of Falling Skies? Didn’t see him at all in the trailer. –Peter
Worry not — Drew Roy is still a series regular, and I am assured he has some very juicy stuff coming up when the show returns on June 22.

TVLINE: Falling Skies Burning Questions Answered!

Jun 15, 2013

Be sure to check out what Falling Skies Exec. Producer Remi Aubuchon had to say about this season and more over at TVLINE.COM!

Though Hal’s paralysis in and of itself presented a “challenge” to him and lady love Maggie, the dark reality of what he has been through — and is capable of — steers this story in an eerie new direction. “When he realizes that he can actually walk, that Karen has really done something to him, it doesn’t actually help the situation but instead makes it worse,” says Aubuchon. “Because now he realizes, ‘I could actually be a time bomb about ready to go off’ — and that frankly brings Hal to the brink of insanity.” But as he teeters on the edge, expect a surprising “character” to step in and take control of the situation. As Hal’s portrayer, Drew Roy, tells us, “It all culminates in the sixth episode, when it gets real messy. That was my favorite episode I’ve ever filmed.”

Drew’s ‘Falling Skies’ Co-Star Connor Jessup Discusses Ben & Hal’s Relationship

Jul 12, 2012

Thanks to our friend over at ThreeIfBySpace.net I’m happy to share a little blurb that Drew’s co-star Connor Jessup, who plays his television brother Ben on Falling Skies, had to say as he talked about Hal and Ben’s relationship in depth and why he enjoys his scenes with Drew.

Connor Jessup has commented that Homecoming and Molon Labe are his 2 favorite episodes and he is right. These two episodes have a lot going on with Ben. The preview also hints at some conflict involving Ben and Hal with regards to Karen as we see Ben and Karen on the roof with Hal pointing a gun at Ben.

“That relationship was a lot of fun. Drew, who plays Hal, is a really cool guy and a great actor. My scenes with him this year were some of my most enjoyable. I enjoy doing those scenes with him. I enjoy the dynamic of tension and misunderstanding and confusion. But also at the core of it, a brotherly affection. We are not that different. What is most interesting about this dynamic is Ben this season is not all that dis-similar to how Hal was last season: Ive taken over the roll of the bull-headed, stubborn, violent one. So I think there are a lot of parallels between Bens interactions with Hal this year, and Toms interactions with Hal last year.”

10 Things You Need to Know From the Panel

Jul 23, 2011

Hollywood Reporter put together a list of 10 things you need to know from yesterday’s ‘Falling Skies’ panel at the San Diego Comic Con. Below is one featuring a quote from Drew, however check out the entire list over at their site. It’s only getting more interesting from here.

1. Hal and Margaret may see some action — with each other: “They have respect for each other,” said Roy, who plays Tom’s teenage son on the sci-fi drama. “Hal is still trying to get over the loss of Karen and I didn’t just want to jump to another girl. Karen was his first love ever and that was a pretty bit loss.” Earlier in the panel, Roy joked about his small-screen alter ego Hal, “He’s got every girl on the show after him, which is exciting.”

TNT Renews ‘Falling Skies’ For a Second Season!

Jul 7, 2011

TNT has renewed Falling Skies, cable’s #1 new series, for a second season. The epic saga about the aftermath of an all-out invasion by an alien military force has been a tremendous hit both domestically and internationally. Falling Skies, which airs Sundays at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), stars Noah Wyle and comes to TNT from DreamWorks Television and executive producer Steven Spielberg. TNT has ordered 10 episodes for the second season, which is slated to air in summer 2012.

“Falling Skies is a true standout series, from its ambitious storytelling, high-profile cast and production team to its phenomenal success when it comes to international and time-shifted viewing,” said Michael Wright, executive vice president, head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies (TCM). “We’re reaching new audiences with Falling Skies and look forward to seeing where this fascinating and exciting series takes us next.”

Falling Skies takes place in the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that has left most of the world completely incapacitated. Tom Mason (Wyle), a Boston history professor and the father of three sons, must put his extensive knowledge of military history to the test as second in command of a regiment of resistance fighters protecting a large group of civilian survivors. Falling Skies also stars Moon Bloodgood, Will Patton and Drew Roy.
